Netflix is the largest subscription video-on-demand streaming service. The company has more than 213 million paying subscribers worldwide, with 74 million subscribers in the U.S. and Canada alone. In 2020, Netflix reported an annual revenue of $25 billion.
Only 10 years ago, Netflix had less than 30 million subscribers, today, only a small handful of countries don’t enjoy access to the streaming service.
So how did Netflix become such a global service?
That’s what we’ll be looking at today; the story of how two entrepreneurs, Reed Hastings, and Marc Randolph, teamed up to change the way we get our favorite movies and Tv shows.
